Sauteed Carrots with Ginger Orange



Ingredients:

3 cups grated carrots (6 medium carrots)  <---I bought the already sliced kind

2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger

1/2 cup orange juice

2 teaspoons canola oil

1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add carrots and ginger; cook, stirring often, until wilted, about 2 minutes.


3. Stir in orange juice and salt; simmer, uncovered, until the carrots are tender and most of the liquid has evaporated, 1 to 2 minutes.

4. Season with pepper and serve.

Rizzoli & Isles -Burning Down the House

Spoilers for Season Finale of Rizzoli & Isles Season Two........If you missed it, pre-order the DVD, available 5/22!


Wow! Can we say awkward? There was enough tension in the season finale of Rizzoli & Isles to make up a whole season of tense conversations. I cannot believe what happened! If you haven't seen it, Maura's father, mobster/criminal/all around dad, comes back on the scene. Doyle ends up saving Maura from the bad guy (in the nick of time I might add) but he doesn't exactly have a clean past himself. So when Jane and the cops show up (finally) he refuses to stand down and he shoots. Jane shoots back and we see Doyle fall. You are left thinking he is dead. Maura yells at Jane to back off.  It's so tense but she was only trying to help Maura.

Will their relationship survive? If I was in their place, I would probably be mad for awhile. I mean its not rational since thats Jane's job but still, who is rational when their father has just been shot? I think something pivotal is going to happen in the first episode of Season Three and they will become partners again if not friends. Friends may take a bit longer.
